Why we exist
The industry is fragmented by design — architects, GCs, trades, and capital sit in separate silos, and the owner pays for the friction between them.
SCMgroup was built to remove that friction. We bring feasibility, regulatory strategy, trades, delivery, and construction capital into a single organisation — so decisions that used to take three meetings and two quotes now happen in one conversation.
It's a demanding model. It requires us to employ tradespeople directly, to underwrite our own construction loans, to carry our Tarion registration, and to stand behind every warranty claim ourselves. But it's the only honest way to be accountable — and it's what allows us to close the projects other firms walk away from.
We work for developers with institutional pipelines, and we work for homeowners turning a back lot into rental income. The standard is the same at both ends. So is the team.

We'd rather employ the trades directly than manage ten subcontracts. Integration is harder operationally — but it's the only way to guarantee the schedule and the standard.
Pro formas stress-tested before capital commits. Contingencies sized to reality, not optimism. If a project doesn't pencil, we say so — even if it costs us the mandate.
Tarion-registered, HCRA-compliant, and procedurally rigorous. Approvals, permits, and warranty coverage handled by people who read the statutes, not people who skim them.
